One of my favorite parts about shifting into a new season is cycling new beauty products into my daily regimen. With summer quickly approaching, that means adding corals, bright pinks, and bronzes back into my collection.
Here are some of my favorite makeup products for the summer season.
Urban Decay Naked 3 Palette. This palette is full of pink-y, warmed-toned neutrals that are perfect for summer! Whether you want a simple, shimmery look, or a more sultry bronze smoky eye, this palette has it all. Some favorite shades of mine include Dust (a shimmery pink champagne), Limit (a matte mauve), Trick (the *perfect* rose gold), and Blackheart (a dark plummy-black with tons of pink shimmer).
Mac Modern Mandarin Blush. This blush originally came out in a limited edition MAC collection and I kicked myself repeatedly for not buying it when I had the chance. Thus ensued the never-ending search through my local Cosmetic Company Outlet until I finally pinned it down. It’s a true orange in the pan, which looks scary, but once you apply it to the cheeks it’s much more pink. The good news now is that it is a part of the permanent collection!
NARS Cactus Flower Blush. This is hands-down my favorite cream blush I’ve ever owned. It’s a gorgeous red in the pan, littered with gold shimmer that look radiant on the skin, not pore-enhancing. It’s the smoothest formula I’ve ever tried, but sad face, it’s currently discontinued. My next pick, though, is almost a perfect dupe!
Clinique Chubby Stick in Robust Rhubarb. This is essentially NARS Cactus Flower with slightly less shimmer. It’s just as beautiful and the stick formula makes it super easy to apply. Just swipe and blend out with your fingers, brushes need not apply.
NYC Sunny Bronzer. For around $3.00, look no further for a fantastic bronzer. It’s a matte formula that’s smooth and not powdery. The color is great on me; it adds warmth without turning me orange or making me look muddy. It’s a win-win for your wallet and your collection
Clinique Chubby Stick Highlighter. I love using highlighters in the summer! This one is my favorite because it is easy to apply, it’s buildable, and it’s the perfect color for my skin tone. I like to apply it to the tops of my cheekbones, down the bridge of my nose, and a dab right on the cupid’s bow of your lips. Basically, anywhere the sun would naturally hit your face.
MAC Pearlglide Intense Liner in Undercurrent. This is one of my go-to liners for the summer because of the gorgeous color! I usually line my upper eyelid with it, swipe on some mascara, and head out the door.
Sephora Contour Eye Pencil in Summer Cruise. This liner is the perfect color for when you want to add a little brightness to your look.
Physician’s Formula Liquid Liner. For those of you (like myself) who are liquid eyeliner-deficient, do yourself a favor and try this one from Physician’s Formula. I saw my aunt using this on vacation and immediately picked it up. It’s a pen with a brush tip, so it’s flexible and honestly very difficult to screw up with. Not only that, but it also doubles as a lash serum for thicker lashes! Who wouldn’t want that?

No. 7 Coral Peach Lipstick. I found this on clearance a while back at Target, and I am so glad that I decided to pick it up. I love glossy formulas for the summer that are hydrating with a hint of color. Look no further for your perfect coral this season.
YSL Rouge Volupte Shine in 6 Pink In Devotion. Another glossy formula, this lipstick has been in my collection for years and never fails to be a favorite for summer. It works with any look!
Chanel Rouge Allure Velvet in L’Eclatante. I hummed and hawed over this for a year and a half before deciding to take the plunge. It’s the perfect bright pink for summer, but let’s be honest, I wear this all year. It’s pricey at $36, but the formula is fantastic and the color is gorgeous. If you like mattes without the feeling that your lips are being sucked dry from any hydration, the Rouge Allure Velvet line is for you.
BECCA Ultimate Color Gloss in Flamingo Crush. I have an obsession with hot pinks/fuchsias, and this gloss is no different. It’s an opaque fuchsia pink that isn’t sticky and brightens up any look without making you look crazy.
YSL Gloss Volupte in 3 Rose Fusion. My favorite lip gloss ever just so happens to be perfect for summer. A coral with gold shimmer: essentially the stereotypical gloss choice for the season, but the formula isn’t sticky and smells like watermelon. Win.
