An Update Moment – My Haul from the Lilly Pulitzer Summer After Party Sale 2015

This year’s After Party sale was definitely…interesting.

Lilly played around with a virtual line, and I have to say I didn’t like it that much. I get why they did it, but they didn’t execute it very well, and the wait times were pretty long. I woke up a half an hour before the sale started and logged on immediately as it launched at 8 a.m. I apparently did not do that fast enough though, because I had about 15,000 people ahead of me in line. It took me about an hour to get into the website, which was a little frustrating.

However, what was even more frustrating this year were the prices. Cotton dresses for $69? Elsa tops for $99? The deals weren’t amazing, but I managed to snag a few things that I absolutely love.

Here is what I picked up!

This is the Briella Fit and Flare Dress in In The Vias. I’ve always wanted a Briella, and while I already own a pair of shorts in this pattern, I figured it would be okay to get the dress too since I can’t wear shorts in Pittsburgh all year round. This was originally $188 and I got it for $69.

This is the Maisy Strappy Back Slip Dress in Big Flirt. This was top on my list and I’m so happy they still had it when I reached the website. I’m planning on wearing this on the first day of school this year. Love it! It retails for $208 and I got it for $79.

The last thing I bought was the Andie Boatneck Top in Back it Up. I LOVE THIS PRINT. Those are ostriches. Isn’t that adorable? I really wanted one of the dresses, but I felt like $89 was a lot for it. So I settled with this! Retails for $68, I got it for $29.

Did you pick up anything from the Lilly sale? I’m hoping that the next one is a little better in terms of prices and website management.

Thanks for reading!

xoxo Rebekah

  1. You got some cute things! I didn’t even log in until the afternoon because I figured there would be some sort of a melt down with it. They only had size 0s left anyway. I wish the prices had been about $10 lower but oh well. I’m actually heading down south and am going to check out a few luxury consignment shops and look around for Lilly. I’ve called a few and they said they get it in frequently!

    1. Thank you and good luck on your search! I live in an area where Lilly isn’t that popular, so I almost never see anything in consignment shops. I agree with the prices too. The sale has definitely been better in that regard in previous years.

  2. Wow the original prices are insane, especially for the fabric type! I’ve never heard of an online sale like this before, I don’t think I’d survive! Knowing me I’d forget I was on and close it when I finally get to number one! Loved the clothing choices, they’re super cute πŸ™‚
