Everything in this life has pros and cons to it – summer vacation is no different. Pro: I don’t have anything to do. Con: I don’t have anything to do.
I forgot how easily bored I become, so I took a trip out to Target today to find some colored pencils and one of those fancy coloring books to occupy my free time before hockey starts. My days have become routines of how much Netflix I can watch before playoff games come on at 8 p.m. Living the dream, you guys.
However, because it’s Target, I walked away with a couple of extra items. Two of those items in question are the new (maybe? I haven’t actually heard anything about these) Katy Kat Matte Lipsticks.
The color selection at Target is fantastic, the packaging is adorable, and I can’t ever say no to lipsticks priced so reasonably at $6.99. So I bought two. The link above is to Walmart’s website, and it says that they’re still only available for presale, so check out Target to get them ahead of time if that’s the case.
Seriously, I love this packaging. The case is rubberized like NARS packaging, and the cute little cat emblem with the color name is too precious.
I chose two colors: Cat Call (a nice bright pink for summer) and Coral Cat (a self-explanatory coral that leans more peach than pink). The formula is described as demi-matte, and I would say that is spot on.
It applies smooth and feels glossy, but it’s completely matte on the lips. It’s one of the more comfortable matte lip colors I’ve tried. I definitely want to go back and purchase some more shades of this lipstick! I haven’t tested it out for wear yet, but the color is opaque, and I feel like you can definitely go a handful of hours without having to reapply because of that.
Will you be trying the new Katy Kat Matte lipsticks? Let me know!
Thanks for reading everyone!
