Hi there everyone! I hope you are all have had a lovely weekend.
I made it through my first week in New York, and I have to say, I really love this city. It feels a lot like home, except for the sheer number of people who are around at all hours of the day. I’m definitely looking forward to the day when I go home and can wait in a line at the grocery store that isn’t 20 minutes and stretched out the door (looking at you, Trader Joes).
In all seriousness, though, it’s great. I got to do lots of tourist-y things this weekend (like museums and Central Park and LOTS of shopping), but tomorrow I go back to my internship – which is also great. The only problem is sometimes it’s difficult to dress for. What’s a girl to do when it’s almost 90 degrees out but an air of professionalism is still required?
Guys, I am loving this J. Crew shift dress. It’s bright blue, scalloped and has laser-cut details along the hem and neckline. What’s there not to love? Not only is it professional, but it will keep you nice and cool on those hot work days. The best part is it’s $40.
Yup. $40. And it comes in three other colors.
Seriously, I can’t get over these shoes.
What’s your go-to outfit when it gets hot outside?
Thanks for reading, as always.
