The best part of summer vacation is having ample time to simply relax. For me, this usually means browsing the internet with no real purpose. Recently, I’ve been spiraling down some rabbit holes with British Vogue videos – which is dangerous because now I just want to go vintage runway shopping.
British Vogue does a fabulous series called “Inside the Wardrobe Of.” It’s pretty self-explanatory, but the editors peek into the to-die-for closets of some of today’s fashion icons. One video that’s been sticking with me lately is that of Camille Rowe.
She has a killer collection of denim and vintage t-shirts, and today’s outfit was inspired by her effortless cool girl style.
Now I don’t go shopping in Paris or have a selection of pink Dior coats, so I’m working with what I already have. I picked up this amazing Topshop muscle t-shirt in New York. I saw it one weekend for $40 and narrowly bought it. I’m so happy I didn’t because I came back the following weekend and found it on sale for half off. Score.
It’s super soft, and I love the design on the front. It’s definitely not vintage but feels that way, so I’m going to roll with it. It’s unfortunately sold out right now, but this one also from Topshop is similar and has Mickey Mouse on it. It’s a classic piece that you can style with denim and a leather jacket.
The skirt is one I’ve had for about a year now, and I snagged it from H&M for like $15. There’s similar ones everywhere, including at H&M, and I featured it last summer in my post about Alexa Chung’s style (who, by the way, is also frequently featured on British Vogue).
My flats are H&M too. They’re so comfortable. I grabbed these in New York one day after work when I realized the flats I had packed were literally killing my feet. Best $12 I ever spent, because there was no way I could continue running to catch my train in Tory Burch Reva flats, as stylish as they are.
Whose style do you love?
