An Outfit of the Day Moment – Leopard Skirt and Burgundy Shirt

How amazing is this skirt? There’s actually a little bit of a story behind it.

I first saw the Topshop skirt in Galeries Lafayette when I was in Paris. That was the first time I’d ever been in a Topshop, and everything was so. fantastic. I bought a couple of pieces but decided to pass on the skirt – even though I loved it – because it was a little out of my price range at €60.

Well, fast-forward to this summer in New York City. I was shopping on Fifth Avenue with my sister one weekend, and we decided to pop into Topshop to see what was going on. I had been a couple of other times to that shop previously while I was in the city in June, so I didn’t expect much to be different. But we hit it with perfect timing – they had just marked down for their huge sale. And guess what was on the clearance rack? This skirt. For $30! It was a no-brainer. I also grabbed these heels which are SO fabulous, and I can’t wait to wear them more this fall. They have the coolest ’60s vibe to them that I just can’t get over.
