One of my favorite things about getting dressed each morning is picking out the jewelry to go with my outfit. That might sound strange, but I really think that a little bit of sparkle or a touch of gold can pull an entire look together to be much more classic and refined.
I think it can be difficult to pick the right jewelry, though, for a simple everyday outfit. You don’t want to go too overboard, but you also don’t want to be too understated or plain. I absolutely love statement necklaces, and I like to pair them with a simple gold stud earring. Or, I’ll wear a simple pendant necklace and a bracelet. Items like pearls, small diamond studs, and dainty gold necklaces will always be in style, and they are great pieces to invest in for your wardrobe.
For me, the rule of two’s works pretty well for accessorizing an outfit for going to school or work: Pick two areas to wear jewelry, and call it a day. I think that makes you look put-together without verging on garish. Kate Spade is hands-down my favorite brand for jewelry, but I also love J. Crew and Kendra Scott. Henri Bendel is a great option for when you want to splurge on higher-quality pieces without taking a butcher knife to your wallet.
